Our Story

You supply the vision, we supply the rest.

Jennie B — A Client Who Became Family
In 2022, Jennie trusted HomeRevisions to remodel her historic home. During the project, she was diagnosed with ALS — a moment that changed our company’s perspective. From that day forward, our guiding question became, “What kind of memories can we make?”

One of those memories turned into a tradition: walking with Jennie at The Walk to Defeat ALS in Des Moines. Today, HomeRevisions proudly participates in this event every year in her honor, carrying forward her spirit and reminding ourselves why we do what we do.

Nick Darland

Founder

Growing up in the construction industry, Nick developed a strong belief that a successful company must always put its customers first— no matter the situation. In 2020, he founded HomeRevisions, a business built on client success stories and a reputation for exceptional service. Nick has carried that same mindset into every aspect of his life, including hosting the TV series Spruce it Up and authoring Power in Chaos: Overcoming Adversity with Courage and Hope, a book that reflects his journey through challenges with courage and optimism. He also values time spent with his wife and daughter, grounding his professional drive with personal purpose. Backed by hands-on experience, an AA from DMACC and a Leadership degree from Harvard, along with the leadership skills gained from his service in the Iowa Army National Guard, Nick leads HomeRevisions in proudly serving communities across Iowa.
